REINFORCING A STRONG BIBLICAL FOUNDATION

~GLITTER GIRLS GATHERINGS~
FOR YOUNG LADIES AGED 13-15 AND 16-18

Our GLITTER GIRLS format follows the theme “All That Glitters is Not Gold…” Our Mission is to address the critical issues of healthy esteem and a bright future for our young ladies based on a solid foundation derived from God’s perspective - NOT the world’s or Social Media’s skewed-view of perfection that is so destructive to ALL — especially our teens. Like so many, I personally struggled with emotional insecurities from the time I was a pre-teen resulting in long-term problems… And the battle raged on even when I began modeling for CoverGirl at age 15 to buy a horse - only to worsen under the demands of “Hollywood.”

The truth is, the “LIMELIGHT” can be a very dark place.

Regardless of each of our personal stories, from childhood to womanhood, the pressure’s on — EARLY ON! Remember, YOU’RE NOT ALONE...

My Retrospective Testimony segment of our GLITTER GIRLS GATHERINGS will include career film clips, stills and TV footage for added entertainment and visual impact in support of the “GLITTER THEME.” Following that segment, we’ll share CANDID CONVERSATIONS addressing subjects such as: *Abstinence *Healthy priorities and self-worth *Relationships (Dating, Friendships & Family) *Eating and image issues *The power of words *The Need for Forgiveness *Entitlement attitudes and self- centeredness *Low esteem and negative thoughts: Thoughts that can move onto depression, anxiety and even suicide… Today’s dangers lurk everywhere from online manipulations and bullying, to a dysfunctional home life and influences. The price of “Popularity” is on the rise:

THROUGH GOD’S LENS, CORE ISSUES WILL BE ADDRESSED TO ENSURE HEALTHY AND INSPIRING GOALS...GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN TO DREAM!

While navigating their teens, our girls are all-too-often held to unhealthy standards that harm them emotionally, physically and spiritually. The truth is, everyone is uniquely beautiful: A one-of-a-kind to be respected and cherished according to God’s Word… They’ll learn to TRUST God with their hearts, and KNOW that God will never lie, cheat, or leave them. They’re His forever treasure! And when one feels the security of that kind of unconditional love, the rest of life’s details will fall into place…

STEADY AS SHE GOES

ANCHOR YOUR FAITH!

We’ll wind-up the morning film and & A Session, then move on to a sit- down lunch and reflection in the Clubhouse, followed by our afternoon of Equine-Assisted Sessions “Donkeyette” painting and prayer.

Some Thoughts from former Glitter Girls

“I loved your story. Thank you for letting God shine through you. His love that He’s shown in you spilled over on me and all of the girls here. I’m 13 and I love Jesus. But I struggle, of course, so thank you. I can’t put in words how your testimony, and the horses really blessed me.” — Mattie

“I’m only 16, but since I was 8, I’ve felt God’s call on my life to the Mission field. Please pray I will be patient and willing to wait for His best in all things. Also pray God will help me wait for that special guy He has for me one day. Thank you for this awesome time at the farm! It was an amazing experience! God bless!” — Sarah

“I loved it! I know so many girls who need to hear what you have to say — Thank you so much, and you’re funny!” — Lacy

Welcome to Hillenglade Farms (15 minutes N.W. of downtown Nashville) where Hope and Healing leads At our Glitter Girl Gatherings!

Dear parents, grandparents, friends and family,

Our GLITTER GIRL GATHERINGS will be held at HOPE AND HEALING AT HILLENGLADE FARM (15min. N.W. of downtown Nashville)… You may be wondering if this event might be right for any of the young ladies in your lives. May I suggest that you ask yourselves the following questions while considering this gift for your girls as they prepare to move out into the world…

Have you noticed that your teenager is increasingly:

• Less communicative / moody / angry / sad / depressed / defiant
• Lethargic / uninspired / insecure / entitled / frustrated or lonely
• Spending more time escaping into their bedrooms for “privacy”
• Obsessed with, and vulnerable to personal POSTS about them on SOCIAL MEDIA
• Compulsively checking their Social Media apps, while hiding the “passwords”
• Dropping their grades, scholastic interests or future goals
• Gaining or losing noticeable weight • Showing less interest in their faith

The truth is, your girls don’t have to be in crisis-mode or obvious confusion before taking action.

JUST A FEW NATIONAL STATISTICS:

• Depression, anxiety and behavioral disorders are among the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents.
• Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds.
• The consequences of failing to address adolescent mental health conditions that arise will extend into their adult lives.

Let’s be pro-active for the young ladies we love!!!
xoxo “Jen”
